moment: march of dimes

Supported the babies at the March of Dimes 2009 event. Our walk meant from the parking lot to the company tent. Our little one enjoyed some bbq, cotton candy, snow cones, and face painting. We both took a three hour nap afterwards.

Congratulations RED for an amazing race this past Saturday 10/18 at the 5th Annual Gulf Coast International Dragon Boat Regetta!!! This was our company’s first official Texas Dragon Boat race hosted by our company's asian network. With limited experience and practice sessions, our team showed great determination, teamwork, and strategy by consistently improving race time and eventually beating our rivals! Thank you team leads, participants, Diversity, and senior leaders for making this an outstanding event!!! You all ROCK!

My first time at a Dragon Boat practice. Syncronization was key. No experience and a weak swimmer, I somehow was selected to be in front as a pacer. This meant my partner and I had to set the pace for the entire team. The practice started out rather decent, seemed relatively simple. After about an hour, I was reminded of my lack of athletic abilities! My left arm went numb and I just couldn't paddle anymore. My paddle kept colliding with the girl behind, I bet she was frustrated. =) For the sake of the team, I shall demote myself from this position!! Let me just go to the back of the boat and hide! heheheh
