moment: 38 weeks

Two weeks or less until the big day! Wishing for a safe and healthy delivery. To be in the moment and take in every second of child birth. Each experience will be unique, best to be flexible and open and allow mother nature to do her thing. Learning to live with the final weeks of discomforts and lack of sleep. Still struggling to finalize baby's name. Procrastination is prevalent. Continuing to work until the big day arrives to have more time with baby. Looking forward to the sweet newborn smell, love, and warmth....

Meagan is excited to be big sis. She wanted to know if baby is coming tomorrow. In the process of wrapping a little gift for our big sis from baby....it is a book titled "I am a big sister" by Joanne Cole. It is important to us that Meagan feels loved and important as we move to the next chapter of our lives.

Funny moment - Meagan told everyone at her daycare I gave birth to a baby girl named Emma! The hubby had to tell everyone baby has not arrived yet. =)

moment: 37 weeks

Each day feels like the final miles of a marathon. Relying on mental strength to help move forward. Physical discomfort and emotional highs/lows typically take over during the evenings after a long day at work. Trying to find a comfortable position to sleep is not an easy task anymore. Dreams are often disturbing probably due to fear of the unknown and lack of control. Learning to just let go and allowing everything to happen naturally. Must not try to admit myself to the hospital with the hopes of being induced like I did with Meagan. Happy to have reached full term this week!

moment: 36 weeks

Mid June has finally arrived, just a month away from meeting the little one. Setting up our bedroom to accommodate for our new addition. A family of four in one cozy bedroom, imagine the lovely chaos that will soon surround us! While the world is sleeping peacefully we will be up celebrating the joys of parenthood. It will be interesting to see how long the hubby can party with us until insomnia moves him into the guest room. =) Until the big day arrives, lots of anxiety and impatience continues to exist. Emotional and irritable are common traits along with heartburn, backaches, achy legs, fatigue, etc. Learning how to knit again in search of something calming and relaxing to do for the upcoming weeks….

moment: sweet babyshower

My very first babyshower, thanks to Irene and the girls. Most thankful for having a close circle of girlfriends to celebrate special life moments with. Loved all the precious details and fresh flowers designed by Irene. Enjoyed the cookie favors baked by Anniecat. Looking forward to using all the wonderful gifts for our new addition. Thank you girls!!! (photos courtesy of irene and anniecat)

moment: 35 weeks

Five more weeks til the next chapter of our lives begin. Trying hard to enjoy these moments, but becoming increasingly impatient and ready to meet the little one. Time seems to slow down. Irritable and easily annoyed is current mood. Hoping this is only the Monday blues.

moment: 30 weeks

The wonders of the last trimester is definitely showing up. Lack of concentration, fatigue, braxton hicks, aches and pains are all here to greet me. The little one is active and strong, which I am most grateful for. Looking forward to finding out the sex of our little one come birth day. Just received news that I passed my glucose test! This calls for a sugar party!

moment: 28 weeks

At the beginning of third trimester, little one is growing adding extra pounds for mommy. Active and constantly moving around. Boy name confirmed, but girl name is still pending. Thankful each day for a happy healthy pregnancy. After this month, only 2.5 months to go before the next chapter begins. Our little family is growing!

moment: 25 weeks prego

The little one has been most active around 2:00 p.m. every day. Lots of movements and kicks....Meagan continues to kiss my belly whenever she remembers. My mood has been good for the most part. I have emotional lows at moments for no reason at all. I think it must be the hormones. My appetite has increased significantly. Yesterday I ate so much for lunch that when I got back to the office I felt terrible. I was fatigued, sleepy, and dizzy. I rested for about 15 minutes in the mediation room provided by the company. By the time I got home for dinner, I was almost too afraid to eat. I just ate noodle soup and tofu and went to bed. A coworker of mine was done being pregnant for good...so gave me her maternity clothes. I thought it was such a sweet guesture. This may help me get through the last trimester without having to go on a shopping spree. I would prefer to do so after the preganancy. =)

moment: 24 weeks prego

Baby has been more active lately. I could be sitting in a meeting for an hour and the little one would be kicking and rolling around the entire time. I just love the feeling. Appetite has increased significantly. Food consumption is equivalent to the hubby's. Major sweet tooth, especially after a big meal. Sleeping well every night around 9:00 p.m. Meagan is falling in love with my big belly. She kisses it all the time and comments how cute it is. It is the sweetest thing to witness. I call her big sis or chi hai now so that she could get used to her new title. The hubby and I have been trying to prepare ourselves for life with two. I wonder what that will be like....

5 month

Morning tempt was 45 degrees, cold and uncomfortable. I wish we could have had warmer weather. Meagan and the hubby were warm and cozy at home as I waited for my OB appt. I weighed in at 118 lbs (gained 8 lbs since visit last mnth) and baby's heart beat is 155. Thankful growth is normal. Mellow Mood. I am feeling really really blah this morning. Hoping this will go away soon. It sure would help if the sun came out right about now. Chuckecheese. We wanted to take Meagan to the rodeo but the weather was so ugly. We went to Chuckecheese instead to play games, eat pizza and cotton candy. Meagan had a great time running around with daddy. I was pretty exhausted after an hour of screaming kids!

22 Weeks. My pregancy journey @ 22 weeks has been relaxing and enjoyable. The little one is doing so many karate moves! I love feeling these movements each and every day! I can also eat better and have more energy to do things. My cravings have been all over the place, from fried food to healthy greens. I love eating sweets after a meal. I am liking Mexican food more so than ever! Just anything with lots of carbs and richness. The other night I had a terrible leg cramp on my right calf. Thank goodness the hubby was there! My mind has been on stand by....just on lazy mode. I am thankful work has been manageable.

20 Weeks - Photo

My pregnancy journey at 20 weeks. The morning sickness and itchy skin has slowly decreased from the first trimester. I still sleep around 8:30 p.m. every night. I am able to enjoy the pregnancy alot more at this moment. I have more energy and feel more happy with myself. I can now cook and clean like I never had before. The hubby has been so great helping everywhere possible. I hope to be able to do more soon.

Meagan is slowly understanding that she will be a big sister soon. She hugs and kisses my belly sometimes. At first she would hit my belly and run away....I think she is just a little confused.

The other day she asked "Mommy can you swallow me so I could go in your belly and play with baby?" I just love her so much!

Pregnancy Update. I think I felt a slight movement in my belly!!!! I love this feeling.

Pregnancy Update. I currently have a surge of energy, like on a caffeine/sugar rush. I often wake up in the middle of the night and just lay there wide eyed. For some reason I am still very anti-social and easily annoyed. I feel like I have eczema all over my body. It is very miserable.

Moderate Bleeding. It was around lunch time at work when I experienced moderate bleeding. I immediately called my OB and was advised I could either monitor the symptoms or get an ultrasound. The doc advised I had a 50/50 chance at this point. I called the hubby and we went to get an ultrasound immediately. Luckily the ultrasound came back normal. However, the doc said there are no guarantees. I am praying every night.

Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers.

Signs Spotting. I experienced some spotting today. My OB advised to monitor the symptoms. This is definitely a very miserable time for me. I am so scared and praying that everything will be okay.
